February 4, 2011

So, on the one night that it snows in San Antonio, my son decides it is a good time to come out. We had to call EMS to take Marcela to the hospital. It took them over 30 minutes to make a 5 minute drive to the hospital. All went well and both Mom and baby are doing great. Adding pictures as I get them.

February 5, 2011

Grandma Kisses and Tita showed up to check on the little boy. It ended up being a rough day 2 for mommy and Marek, but everyone made it through the day with flying colors.

February 6, 2011

Mommy and Marek were allowed to come home early and watch the Super Bowl. Angelina was happy to come home and have a good time eating McDonald's chicken nuggets during the game. Grandma and Grandpa stopped by for the party too.

February 7, 2011

Mommy, Daddy and Marek mostly napped and tried to catch up on sleep. Angelina had gone to work with Grandma and Grandpa Van for the day. We discussed taking pictures, but everyone was too worn out. Tomorrow, Marek and Mommy both have doctor appointments. More pictures to come.

February 8, 2011

Marek's first bath at home was eventful. He was not sure how he liked having a wet sponge wiping his entire body. He survived and got dressed to go see his doctor. Everything went great. Mommy saw her doctor as well and is healing nicely. We did some grocery shopping for the week and picked up some cleaning supplies (Daddy will have some great stories for Marek about the day of his birth).

Marek is enjoying his new swing that Grandma and Grandpa bought him. He especially likes the E word (Angelina still doesn't want to say it, Grandpa!). The last pictue is Marek's first meal with the family at Outback. He did not wake up the entire time!

February 10, 2011

Marek decided to show off his eyes for daddy today. I was able to get a couple off good shots. We also picked him up a stroller that works with his car seat. MUCH EASIER!

February 11, 2011

1 week old! Big sister loves hamming it up with her baby brother. I was able to get some good close up shots. Boy, this kid knows how to poop! I don't remember Geli going this much!

February 12, 2011

Today was mostly a day of cleaning. Cleaning up diapers, cleaning clothes, cleaning dirty behinds. We also cleaned up around teh house. Angelina is a pro with a mop! Also, the camera loves the kid, or the kid loves the camera... I can't tell which yet.

February 13, 2011

Today consisted of a trip to New Braunfels to see Baby Albert and his parents. After some chatting, gaming on the Playstation Move(Angelina played), and eating hamburgers for lunch, we ate some frozen yogurt at Orange Leaf. Yummy! We went home to watch the Grammys, but Marek was asleep through the whole thing. Angelina liked Katy Perry.
